As this was our second home that we had decided to build from scratch, we were looking for a reputable builder. We had seen a very interesting home in progress being built, and had a chance to go and look inside. So many details, wood flooring, moldings, hand made front doors and many extras that had caught our eye. You could feel the love that had been put into the such fine work.

As this was a large home we wondered if the builder would build a small home for us, and we hoped that by asking him, we would not offend him.

Well this was the turning point in our search. We met Dan Galloway, he smiled when we asked him our question, and stated that it may be refresshing to build a smaller home for a change. We got together, and set the wheels in motion. Dan has provided a drawing of our new home. It was exactly what we vere looking for.

We signed a contract, with all the stages of the events. He allowed us to purchase anything we liked in order for our home to have the personal touches we wanted. He designed a magnificent stone fireplace and also surrounded out jetted tub with stone on our request. We had seen all the construction going up from the first dig in the site as our original home is on a property just next door. The cleanliness of the work site attracted many of our neighbours.Their comments were very complimentary to the builder.

Dan built us a two bedroom bungalow with log covered porch. What a beauty, open concept, large entry, 1 and 11/2 bath. We have moved in our new home 2 days before our promissed completion, as everything was done befor the due date. Dan has promised and delivered on time, no snags, no hassle. The old fashioned hand shake, and a word of an honest skilled craftsman and a builder.

We love our new home.
As for Dan, we will recommend him to anyone that is looking for a reputable builder, craftsman and likes to have the pleasure to see their dream come true on time and on budget. Thank you Dan.

Through his building career he has always brought detailed and/or engineered drawings for permit approval.

As construction progressed we were impressed with his attention to detail and observed his good working relationship with all his trades.

The final result was fantastic. We have lived in this home for 5 years and to date we are just as pleased as we were at the outset.

When I had a house fire, something I don't wish on anyone, I had to get replacement construction quotes from builders for my insurance company. I remembered seeing an advertisement for Dan Galloway Construction, a family of builders passing along their experience to each generation. Where I come from, family is trust and that's what I found when I eventually had Dan rebuild for me. He helped me decide on many aspects of the building I wouldn't have known. When problems arose as they do in life we were able to resolve them calmly and quickly and the finished house is something 1know I'll feel good in for a long time.

Living in Eaglecrest, Qualicum Beach – on our daily walks we observed a young man (Dan Galloway) buiding a house. So meticulous and concentrated, we looked forward to his daily progress. Orderly procession and daily clean-up of work done, left a lasting impression.
Three years later, needing an addition to our home for a nook area, Dan was our choice. Great consideration for customer needs when drawing up the plan. The addition was successfully completed with skillful attention, well co-ordinated with contractors.

Almost twenty years ago, I bought my First home. It was built by Dan Galloway. It was a three bedroom rancher that suited me perfectly. I was impressed by the layout and the effective use of space, as well as features such as a cedar vaulted ceiling and fir window ledges.

Nineteen years, a husband and two children later, we decided it was time for a bigger living space. Having no desire to leave a house that we already liked so much, we chose to do a major renovation. We felt that Dan was the best person to add on on to our home, and fortunately he agreed to take on the project.

We were impressed right from the beginning with the entire process, We called Dan with our initial request and he met with us to discuss our ideas. Shortly after, he had come up with a rough sketch which together we discussed and modified, then Dan drew up a more formal plan. He understood exactly what we were looking for, and improved upon our ideas with his own suggestions.

Dan provided us with a detailed, written contract so we were aware of costs right from the beginning. As well, he outlined a schedule of approximately when each stage in the construction would be reached. We wanted to do some of the finishing work ourselves, and Dan was open to our involvement. He also showed us some 'tricks of the trade' that allowed us to do a better job. We always felt our input was respected and listened to.

Being a renovation during which we still lived in our home, my family and Dan and his crew saw a lot of each other over several months. Dan, and those he worked with, were always pleasant and cheerful to be around. Our two young boys liked to watch and 'help' and were always welcomed.

When our friends come to see our 'new' home, they ask us if it tumed out the way we had hoped. We always tell them" it's even better than we had expected". It's such a pleasure to take them through our home and point out special details such as the arch in the stairwell, the floor to ceiling storage cupboards, the solid bench in the entryway end the stair rail that Dan designed that looks better than anything we could have bought. Dan suggested a new wall texture that we love and everyone is impressed by the quality of workmanship that has gone into our home.

Not only did our renovation finish earlier than anticipated, it came in under budget! It was an exciting and fun process, and I'm already dreaming of the next project!
